Vice President, General Manager Polymers Europe. Based in the Rotterdam, Netherlands, headquarters, Gianluca oversees LyondellBasell’s 6.0bn USD Polymers business in Europe. His areas of responsibilities cover Strategy, Marketing, Sales, Product & Asset Management, Planning, Application Development and Technical Services. Gianluca has extensive experience in the Oil and Chemicals industries. He started his career with Shell in 1995, and has been working for LyondellBasell and predecessor companies for more than 30 years. During this period, he has covered a broad range of roles in various functions and has held leadership positions in 3 continents and 6 different countries. Prior to his current role, Gianluca was Vice President, Global Chemical Sales for the company’s Intermediates & Derivatives division, based in Houston, and served as Chief Executive of PMC, LyondellBasell’s Polyolefins joint venture in South Korea. He holds a Master Degree in Industrial Engineering & Management from the Politecnico University in Milan, Italy. He is married with two children.

Egor leads the ICIS team of plastics recycling analysts for the EMEA region, researching and analysing markets across the region. His main responsibilities include analysing supply chains, regulations and policies relating to sustainability and recycling, assessing key industry initiatives and their impact on demand for recycled polymers, and forecasting prices. He also co-develops and expands the ICIS Recycling Supply Trackers for mechanical and chemical recycling, which aim to bring transparency to plastics recycling markets and support customers in sourcing secondary raw materials. Before joining ICIS, he worked in the petrochemical industry, focusing on strategic development and sustainability.

He represents PFPŻ ZP in FoodDrinkEurope, Europe’s largest food industry organisation. For more than 25 years, he has worked in the food economy in management, marketing, public relations and corporate social responsibility. Author of numerous publications and analyses on the food market and food economy.

Chief Technologist at Ela Wyrób Folii i Opakowań, specialising in plastics processing through multilayer polyethylene blown-film extrusion and in the design of packaging structures using established, upgraded and modern technologies. A graduate of the Faculty of Production Engineering at Warsaw University of Technology, he is also pursuing an industrial doctorate at the university’s Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering. A practitioner who combines academic knowledge with hands-on industrial experience gained directly on production floors and at customers’ facilities. His professional and research work focuses on developing low-emission monomaterial polyethylene structures designed for mechanical recycling, supporting the circular economy and enabling recyclates to be reused in the same processes.

Marta Krawczyk is Sustainability Manager in the Business Assurance division at SGS Polska, where she is responsible for developing environmental services in the certification sector (carbon footprint, EPD, LCA, OCS, EMAS and environmental audits). She is an expert in packaging waste management, PPWR, recycled plastics, packaging safety and labelling, recyclability and the circular economy. She is a RecyClass auditor and the author of industry guides on packaging ecodesign. She has experience in climate protection gained in the waste management sector, public administration and environmental protection funds. She lectures at Kozminski University and the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk. As a member and expert, she is involved in the GS1 working group on PPWR, the Natureef association of packaging manufacturers, the Polish Forum for Environmental Management and the UNEP/GRID Climate Leadership programme. She graduated in Environmental Protection from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. She also completed postgraduate studies in Total Design Management at Warsaw University of Technology Business School and the Institute of Industrial Design, as well as postgraduate management studies at SGH Warsaw School of Economics.

Since August 2025, Jasper de Kruif has served as President of the Management Board of Basell Orlen Polyolefins Sprzedaż and as a Member of the Management Board and Sales Director at Basell Orlen Polyolefins. Before that, Jasper spent 17 years at LyondellBasell, holding leadership positions in operations, marketing, commercial management and process engineering, including responsibility for a European cluster of HDPE production sites. Jasper holds a degree in mechanical engineering from Delft University of Technology, specialising in sustainable processes and energy technologies.

He works with leading customers in the rigid packaging and household goods segments. He is also actively involved in developing and launching new polyolefin grades for these segments, particularly polypropylene grades, in line with customer requirements and market trends in sustainability and the circular economy.

Business Development and Technical Service Engineer at Basell Orlen Polyolefins, responsible for the film and injection moulding segments. He graduated in Chemical Technology from the Silesian University of Technology and completed postgraduate studies in Plastics Processing at Częstochowa University of Technology. He gained his professional experience in industry, working in technology departments involved in the production of PE, PET and PP films, ISBM technology and the printing industry, where he specialised in lamination. By combining practical process knowledge with materials expertise, he effectively supports customers in raw material selection, formulation development and the creation of new solutions for the plastics and packaging market. He has been with BOPS for more than four years, where he is responsible for business development in the film and injection moulding segments, combining technical consultancy with hands-on support for customers implementing new projects and innovative material solutions. He has a particular interest in monomaterial structures for the flexible packaging market, enabling the design of packaging that meets both functional and recyclability requirements while supporting the development of a circular economy.

Piotr Zimolzak is a sociologist and mathematician by training. He has worked in marketing research for nearly 20 years. Since 2011, he has been a co-founder and Vice-President of SW Research, a research agency and leader in online research on the Polish market. He has independently led or supervised more than 2,000 research projects, mainly in brand and advertising research, health and social issues. He specialises in designing research processes, samples and tools. He has created training programmes for researchers and analysts, as well as university courses on selected data-analysis methods in marketing research.

For the past six years, he has led the recurring “EKObarometr — on the road to a green society” project, the most comprehensive and up-to-date source of data on consumer awareness, attitudes and behaviour in relation to ecology and the natural environment.

He has worked in plastics processing for almost a decade, gaining experience in management positions in production.

He holds a master’s degree in Chemical Technology from the Faculty of Chemistry at Rzeszów University of Technology and completed postgraduate studies in plastics processing at Częstochowa University of Technology. In his work, he combines in-depth technological expertise with a business-oriented approach to challenges related to the circular economy.
